What Not To Donate?

We love donations, but some items simply do not sell:

Encyclopedias, Reader's Digest Condensed Books, Travel Books (more than 3 yrs. old), Business Texts, Consumer information (more than 3 yrs. old), Tax information, Medical or nursing texts, Law books, Computer books (more than 3 yrs. old), Textbooks (more than 3 yrs. old), Phonograph records, Newspapers, and Books that are damaged - coverless, spineless or missing pages; damp, mildewed, stained or smelly; and extensively highlighted or underlined.

Welcome to the Ligonier Valley Library's bookstore!

Re-Readables bookstore is located on the library's main floor, and features gently-used books, audiobooks, DVDs and more for adults and for children. Everything on the shelves has been donated.

Re-Readables comes with a Guilt-Free Guarantee! Here's how it works. First, you purchase gently-used books, magazines, DVDs, videos, CDs, and more at a reasonable price, knowing that every dollar helps support the Ligonier library. Next, you have the option to donate new materials, or re-donate quality materials, to the bookstore not only for someone else to enjoy, but as a tax deduction. (Ask for the tax deduction form when you drop off your books. We will need to know the total number of items you donated - e.g. 10 hardback books, 5 compact discs, etc.) In summation, every purchase (large or small) or donation helps the library and you... and that, dear friends, leads to a fun and Guilt-Free experience every time!

Proceeds benefit the library's operating fund.

The store offers a variety of donated items at affordable prices in a relaxing atmosphere that is ideal for browsing.

Re-Readables is run by volunteers. However, we need your help and donations of high-quality used books and materials to make the store a true success. Donations are tax deductible.

We love your book donations, but...
What we could use in Re-Readables are hardcover and paperback books (no older than 10 years for fiction), DVDs, videos and CDs as well as classic and collectible books in excellent physical condition.

Please call the library at 724-238-6451 prior to delivering older items or with any questions. Thank you!

Re-Readables book store has been a part of the Ligonier Valley Library since its Grand Opening on August 16, 2007.
