Shelby Van Pelt will be discussing her debut novel, Remarkably Bright Creatures on August 21st.

Tova Sullivan's son went missing on a boat in Puget Sound over 30 years ago. Ever since, she has been trying to keep busy, until her husband passed away. Now she works the night shift at the Sowell Bay Aquarium doing custodial work, where she meets a grumpy octopus named Marcellus. Together, they become friends and can put together clues as to what happened that night in Puget Sound thirty years ago.
